Coolman Communities is the only builder awarded 2019 NGBS Green Partner of Excellence distinction in Indiana. NGBS Green, which is based on the National Green Building Standard™ (NGBS), has certified more homes than any other national green home certification program.
Home Innovation’s green certification program validates our commitment to providing customers with increased value, professionalism, and relevance in the marketplace through third-party verification to the NGBS. We are confident that our homes have a standard of exceptional quality that promotes stringent yet practical green design and construction. Most importantly, our homes continue to be evaluated, inspected and built to provide a home that is comfortable, safe, and durable in addition to a high level of energy efficiency through our building practices, processes and materials.
Before a home is occupied, it has been evaluated for HERS Index (Home Energy Rating Score) tested by Energy Diagnostics (independent 3rd party rater) who scientifically measure each home to ensure that the home is above the standard accepted energy codes. Coolman homes consistently score in the “60” HERS range for a “Green Built” home. We are proud to provide a comprehensive report for the home’s records as all newly constructed homes are mandated to be tested.
